What is Hardware, Software and Liveware?Explained in details.

Constituents of Computer System:

A computer system constitutes:
(a) Hardware
(b) Software
(c)Liveware
Hardware:
All the physical - electronic/electromagnetic components of a Computer that has certain mass.
Hardware constitutes all the parts and peripherals of a computer. It includes the CPU(Central processing Unit), motherboard or the circuitory including IC's, chips etc.In association with peripherals such as IO devices like keyboard,light pen,printer,digital camera etc.; secondary memories like DVD,CD-Rom,Hard disk etc.; network devices like modem,routers,transponders etc.


Software:
All the predefined commands and other instructions upon/with which data is made useful or processed.

         A set of program is called software.A set of instructions is called program. A set of commands is called Instruction. A  Command is a predetermined pattern or logical value assigned to an entity.

Software refers to its two types:
(i) System Software:It includes all the linkers,loaders,operating system etc.
(ii) Application Software:It includes all packages,utilities and other customized softwares.

Liveware:
All the living components that make the use of Hardware and software for processing/manipulating data.

Data are the facts and figures made available to the computer for processing.
Information: Useful data or Sequentially arranged data or processed data is known as information.
